Born on the east coast, Linda grew up in a suburb of Detroit, MI. Upon graduation from college (Carnegie Mellon, ’70), she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked as a Senior Clinical Financial Analyst at Stanford University School of Medicine.

In 2006, she packed it all in and moved, with her 3 dogs, to Central Oregon. After a brief 4 year sojourn there, she realized one of her life’s dreams and moved (this time with 4 rescue dogs) to a remote island off the coast of Maine. It was there that she penned her first award-winning novel, MATEGUAS ISLAND.

Since its publication in April of 2014, MATEGUAS ISLAND has garnered several major awards:

2014 Gold Medal in Supernatural Fiction, READERS’ FAVORITE INTERNATIONAL BOOK AWARD COMPETITION

2014 First Place Award, Contemporary Gothic Fiction, CHANTICLEER BOOK REVIEW’S PARANORMAL AWARDS

2015 Outstanding Novel in Horror/Suspense, INDEPENDENT AUTHOR NETWORK’S BOOK OF THE YEAR AWARDS.

The 2nd novel in the series, RETURN TO MATEGUAS ISLAND, published in late 2014, has also received its share of awards for excellence.

2015 First Place Award, Contemporary Gothic Fiction, CHANTICLEER BOOK REVIEW’S PARANORMAL AWARDS

2015 Finalist in Horror, READERS’ FAVORITE INTERNATIONAL BOOK AWARD COMPETITION

2016 Finalist in Horror/Suspense, INDEPENDENT AUTHORS’ NETWORK BOOK OF THE YEAR AWARDS.

The 3rd full-length novel in the series, GHOSTS OF MATEGUAS was just published in 2016.

Today, Linda lives in Sedona, Arizona with her two aging dogs (Splatter and Spudley) and is at work on a new stand-alone novel entitled, SUMMER GIRL.

Serious about dog welfare and rescue, all net proceeds from the sale of novels in The MATEGUAS ISLAND Series are donated to Linda’s private charitable trust, The Raison d’Etre Fund for Dogs, Dedicated to Rescue and Research.
